Commission a Feature
Do you need coverage on your timeline?
I receive more music and artist submissions than I can cover through my regular editorial schedule.
If you have a release, show, event, or project coming up, you don't have to wait to see if or when it fits into that schedule. Commissioned features give you dedicated coverage around an agreed publication date.
You spent months making the work. What happens when it's time to talk about it?
How do you explain what you've made? What do you want someone to understand beyond the release announcement, flyer, or Instagram post?
Through a recorded conversation, I help turn the story behind your work into a published piece of press you can use as part of your release, EPK, and press materials.
Your feature includes
- Questions developed specifically around you and your work
- A 30+ minute recorded interview
- An original written feature
- Publication on the website
- A designed Instagram carousel
- A collaborative Instagram post
- Distribution through the email newsletter
- A publication date agreed upon in advance
Commission editorial coverage for your next release.
Tell me what you're working on and when you'd like your feature published. I'll review your request and follow up about availability and next steps.
Commissioned features: $250
No payment is required to submit a request. If I can accommodate your project and timeline, I'll follow up with next steps and payment.
*Already submitted your work? You don't need to send everything again. Use the same email address and share anything new that's relevant to this project.
Regular editorial coverage is still free.
Can't Colonize the Vibe isn't a pay-for-play platform. I regularly discover and cover artists at no cost through the normal editorial process.
But I also understand that timing matters. If you're preparing for a release, show, event, or project, you may not have time to wait and see if your work fits into the regular editorial schedule.
If timing isn't a concern, you can always send your work through the regular submission page. I review submissions on an ongoing basis and reach out when there's an opportunity for coverage.
